Mount Pleasant in the Appalachian mountains is near the town of Oronoco, VA.  The mountains here are lush and reminiscent of the Virgin forest that once thrived in the Appalachian mountains.  The entire area around Mount Pleasant is extremely remote and adjacent to the Appalachian Trail. Mount Pleasant summit is not directly on the AT and must be reached by way of a short loop trail.
