The James River flows for many miles through the state of Virginia. This collection of photos was taken near where the Maury River connects in the town of Glasgow, Virginia. The James River Face Wilderness is on the Bedford County side of The James and is quite large with an extensive network of trails including the Appalachian Trail which passes through the entire wilderness.
Devil's Marbleyard is one of the geological features in the wilderness with giant boulder fields that create stunning panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
